Ten days before turning 55th, I made a decision...this birthday was going down at sea.
For my 45th, I hit Sin City with my girls and painted Vegas red. My 50th? A FAB outdoor dinner party, lovingly hosted by my amazing baby brother and equally amazing sister-in-love, surrounded by family, friends, and nothing but good vibes. The very next day, I jetted off on a cruise to Cuba with friends.
So there was absolutely NO WAY I was spending my 55th stuck in the States. NOPE! 😂
I booked my first-ever solo cruise on the MSC Meraviglia. Ten days before my birthday. Talk about spontaneous! This time, I was stepping away from my usual favorite (I'm a Royal Caribbean girl through and through) to try something new. The price was right. No flights required. Sailing out of Brooklyn. SOLD.
I was definitely curious (okay, a little skeptical) about how this ship would measure up.
But babyyy, from the moment I sashayed onto that ship, MSC Meraviglia screamed LUXURY. We’re talking Swarovski crystal staircases, glam interiors, and lounges so gorgeously curated they looked like something out of a design magazine. Every corner of this ship looked like it was designed with elegance in mind. I was in full-on luxe heaven.
Let me just say this—MSC Meraviglia did not disappoint.
Solo cruising for me was liberating. It gave me space to celebrate me without distraction. If you’ve ever thought about taking a solo trip, a cruise is the perfect way to do it: everything you need in one floating city, with the freedom to do it your way.
Would I solo cruise again? ABSOLUTELY. Would I cruise with MSC Meraviglia again? YES. Solo cruising might just be my new tradition.
Don’t just take my word for it. Watch my solo cruise video below and come sail with me! 🛳✨
